I graduated from language studies. I graduated from teacher training. I’ve made thousands of lesson plans. I have done hundreds of hours of practice in schools. They were looking at my hands. They listened to the accent. They pointed out language errors. They pointed out teaching errors. Was it difficult? Very. However, nothing can replace what I learned when I was thrown into deep water.
The door to the room was closed, and I was left with 30 children all alone. The children were not particularly interested in anything, including learning. And then I started to create my vision of teaching.

Most of all, I wanted to understand each and every one of them. And so I went through public schools, private schools, language schools, kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, technical schools, democratic kindergartens, democratic elementary schools, democratic middle schools, groups of adults who never have time for anything, groups of adults absorbing everything I say, me, still in my twenties, such a ‘young person’!
This led me to methodology. It made it possible to teach others how to teach, not just “throwing rules” from wise books. Lots of courses, conferences, and traveling around the world. All this allows me to say:
